Say, what’s the big idea?!
* * *I’m a designer, editor, and your go-to gal for anything related to words and pictures.
Ideas—I’ve got a million of ’em!
Editing is also my racket. As an editor, I am comfortable with text of all sorts, from lengthy narratives to presentations to promotional copy. I shape tone, clarify ideas, define key messages, and make specialized or complex information accessible to readers. Correct grammar and style, consistency, accuracy, clarity, and objectivity are of paramount importance to me. When dealing with authors, I emphasize working together in a collegial and productive way in order to achieve the best possible finished product.

Museum Dogs is a blog about art history and dogs. Fun and a little scholarly!

Yunkstahn on Soundcloud. I like to sing and noodle around on the uke. What I lack in skill I make up for in enthusiasm.
Words, pictures, words and pictures, words as pictures—I love them. I am drawn to clean lines, strong contrasts, bold forms, and designs that evoke a particular time period.
My goal is to create pieces that are clear and engaging, in which the design serves the message.
Design is an important facet of my work as a publishing and communications professional. Indeed, I am also adept at editing, production, and project management. My combination of skills and experience gives me a unique ability to find the most effective ways of presenting information—in words, images, or both.
I'm a historian by training, and my love of history influences both my design work and my hobbies. Old movies, clothes, music, printed material, everyday objects—I can't get enough of them.
For fun, I like to watch British cop dramas, read Raymond Chandler novels, and hang out with my toy fox terrier.
